Born from a long-standing relationship, this collaboration is rooted in shared experience and trust. Fred, who had been flying our paragliding and speedriding gear for years, grew up just a short distance from the NEO workshop.
During one of his visits, a simple question sparked an ambitious idea: why not create the ideal base jumping backpack?
What followed was over two years of dedicated development, combining real-world expertise with meticulous design. The result is a purpose-built BASE backpack that meets every demand, engineered for technical ascents and perfectly optimised for the descent.
The NEO BASE backpack is built to be exceptionally lightweight, without compromising on durability.
Every material has been carefully selected for its technical performance, achieving the lowest possible weight while maintaining a high standard of resistance. This reduced weight makes a real difference during demanding alpine ascents, where efficiency is critical.
One of its key features is its ability to compress significantly once the jumping gear has been removed, allowing the backpack to be stowed inside a wingsuit, keeping you streamlined and focused for the flight.

The NEO BASE backpack is engineered to stay compact when it matters most. Once the jumping gear is removed, it compresses to an ultra-low volume, fitting easily inside a wingsuit. All rigid elements have been eliminated for maximum packability.
The BASE 60 L features exclusive NEO technology without frame: a load system running across the entire base of the backpack rather than the back panel. This ensures comfort during long carries and allows the backpack to be folded into a wingsuit or worn under a harness.
Minimal padding and carefully shaped shoulder straps and waist belt maximise freedom of movement, so nothing interferes with the pilot’s body position allowing full focus on the flight, with zero distraction.

To further enhance reliability, aluminium hardware has been used throughout, reducing the risk of unexpected breakage and extending the lifespan of the bag. All critical zones have been carefully reinforced, including ice axe attachments and high-stress areas, ensuring consistent performance in the most technical conditions.
